Wow…2 years of blogging already. I’m surprised by the fact that those 2 years have flown by. In reality this blog was created in 2010, however, I didn’t actually really start blogging till May 20, 2013, making this my official start date of continuous/serious blogging. I’ve spent a lot of time over the last year fretting over whether I was doing this blogging thing right. I sent numerous questions to Andi asking for her advice and opinion on certain blog aspects, and I don’t think that I would still be blogging if it wasn’t for her, and a few others. Especially the ladies of On The Same Page. They really have really made me feel a part of the blogging community and I’m excited to be participating in their Secret Sister round, which gives me ideas for blog posts, as well as a community to belong to.
I have had some ups and downs with the blog, months when I wasn’t very active, and months when I shared a lot, but I’ve realized that in the first 5 months of 2015, I’ve had more views, visitors, likes and comments then I did in 2013, and 2014. It is surprising to me because I still feel like I have no idea what I’m doing.
In 2014 I didn’t read as many books as I was hoping so I entered a few book challenges this year to try and get myself to read more, well it hasn’t really been a problem since there have been some FANTASTIC books that have come out in 2015.
My favorite books of 2015 that I’ve read so far:
2015 Books I’m Excited for and/or want to read:
2015 has not bee my greatest year for reviews, in fact I’ve only reviewed 13 of the 41 books I’ve read this year. So be on the lookout for more reviews as I try my hardest to catch up before the year ends.
I’ve also been lucky enough to get approvals for several AMAZING books on NetGalley, I’ve also been turned down a lot for books both on NetGalley and Edelweiss, and it taught me that it is okay if I don’t get approved. It gives me motivation to finish reading and reviewing those books that I have been approved for, and that I don’t need to read EVERY book that is available to read in advance.
All in all I would say that I have had a great 2015 so far where reading and my blog are concerned, and I hope that going into the next “blog” year that I am able to gain some new followers, add more fun content and catch up on my reviews, and to remember that I do this for fun, and its OK if I don’t have as many followers or comments as others in the blogging community. I do this for me, to share what I love, and if I ever feel like I am doing this to make people like me, then I do not need to be blogging anymore.

Don’t have a favorite but I’m dying to read The Heir.
I have it, just haven’t started it yet, but it’s on my Summer TBR.
My favorite book of 2015 so far The Winner’s Crime.
I need to start that series, but I keep going past it on my TBR list and pick something else.
Congratulations on your second blogoversary! I love several of the books that are your favorites of the year: I’ll Meet You There, Soulprint, The Jewel, all SO good! And I have a few that I must read that are your favorites, so that’s a good sign too!
Also, I LOVED The Cage! And I can’t wait for Tonight the Streets are Ours, All the Rage, and What You Left Behind, they all look SO good!
My favorite of 2015 so far? Man, this is HARD. I guess The Sin Eater’s Daughter, or The Wrath and the Dawn, or The Kiss of Deception,or Made You Up, or The Cage… Oh forget it, I can’t decide such things 😉
I haven’t read any 2015 releases yet but I’m planning to. I just bought End of Days by Susan Ee and am really looking forward to reading it. I really love this series!
